“…Keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians. 4:3).
Ryan Haines of The Gospel Training Ground was kind enough to ask me to join him in discussing Rome’s false gospel, ecumenism, and the tendency in modern evangelicalism to put unity above purity. Let it be remembered that Scripture never tells us to make peace with error, or unite Christ with antichrist, but rather to keep or maintain the unity which already exists amongst God elect.
In the video, we touch on a variety of subjects related to Romanism and the Protestant Reformation, Rome’s distortion of the gospel, and why we must not compromise with an institution that teaches “a different gospel” (Galatians 1:6) for the sake of social action. Many more related topics could have been addressed and more detailed analysis given, which, God willing, we will have the opportunity to take up in the near future. I am grateful to Ryan for his research, ministry, missionary work, evangelistic zeal, and willingness to take up such a controversial subject.
